Helmet to Helmet Hits

The NFL as you know has eliminated the ability to have helmet to helmet hits. Your team will be penalized and later you will be fined a very good amount of the all in famous cash. Nobody wants to do that. The NFL has become more of a cautious sport the past years making it impossible to hit Quarterbacks above the shoulders or below the knees. That is somewhat understandable considering the QB's are maybe the most flimsy players on a football team. So I believe that everyone can get over that fact about rulings, unless your Ray Lewis who says that because of these rules the league has made. Hint..... Ray if you guys would have played like everybody thinks you are you should have one that game singlehandedly. Everyone has been picking you to win the Super Bowl and you lose to a team who only kicked field goals against you. That is a good c'mon man moment. There are three things that I feel I should make clear to everyone. There are over thousands of hits in a weekend. There are about 100 questionable hits. Only about half of those actually get flagged. So why now would you start enforcing this rule. I have a good reason. De'sean Jackson a great wide receiver and the big play kind of guy. He is developing into a what to watch for kind of guy they one with 75 yard TD receptions and he is what everybody wants to watch. Well if Joe Schmoe was hit and knocked out we wouldn't notice. But since De'sean Jackson was the victim no one can get over it. The NFL wants to make money and if Jackson is out then TV revenues go down and the NFL loses money. SO they want the players to be safe before it gets out of hand. Now really Roger making this rule now isn't going to hep anything. Football is thought to be some hard hitting league where if you don't watch your back then you be eating dirt. That is what the people want to see so if you really want people to watch you let the players play and hit and wish the best for whoever is out on the field.

Football

The football season is already half way through and there are the teams that have no chance making the playoffs the teams on the outside but still have a good chance and the for sure teams. One team that has surprised most of us has to be the Dallas Cowboys. Aren't they the ones who are supposed the win the NFC and go to the super bowl at their own stadium. When the beginning of the season everyone thought if a team was going to the super bowl at their stadium it had to be the Cowboys. But lets get back to reality. The 'boys are 1-4 that is the same record as the Browns, Lions, and even worse than the Rams. All of these teams had picks last year in the top ten spots. (Hint) Not the teams you want to be compared to. Everybody is saying oh its okay they will dig themselves out of it, they'll be fine, there going to win their division still. Well if they played in the NFC West I might believe that fact otherwise I don't even understand the reasoning. The Redskins have a better record and have beaten the Cowboys. The Giants have been playing the best football of their year lately in their wins over the Texans and the Lions. The offense is clicking and are opening up the field. Then there is the Eagles, this is the team that traded Donavon McNabb and everybody, including me, thought this was going to be a rebuilding year. It has been the exact opposite Kevin Kolb and Michael Vick have looked great in their respective starts and with Jackson and Maclin receiving the ball and McCoy running they look as good as ever. Their defense is always going to be solid with the special blitz packages they can throw out there at any time. Also the Cowboys with their 1-4 record have a percentage that backs up my statement, teams that start out 1-4 have a 5% chance of making the playoffs and if you think that they will be okay then I guess the Lions and Browns should still believe they are making the playoffs as well.
