The Cincinnati Reds
At the beginning of the year I looked at the Reds schedule and the first month opponents I thought they will have to dig out of this hole quickly or it would be another bust season where everything seemed to go wrong. Turns out that it truly did happen. There first series against the Cardinals was not shaping out to favor the Reds after losing the first two games they pulled off a walk off win in the finale. Then the Cubs came to town and the Reds won the first and last games and were back at .500. Then they went to Florida. The Reds won the first two games in extra innings. Then they went on a skid losing 5 straight and being swept by the Pirates. Then the Dodgers came in to town and you thought it could only get worse because the Dodgers have the best record against the Reds. Amazingly the Reds won the series but then San Diego came in and the Reds lost the first two games. The second game of the series changed the season for the Reds. They lost and made about 4 base running blunders. They Won get away day and the won 4 straight after that then lost the next two to the Cardinals. Since then the Reds have been over .500 and are now first place in the division.

The Finals
The finals game seven Lakers vs. Celtics in Los Angeles. I expect the Celtics to come out on top. If the Lakers can pull it off where will this rank Kobe Bryant. Byron Scott on ESPN today said he would rank them in the top 3 EVER. He said Michael Jordan was by far the best but Kobe Bryant was still in the top 3. The Celticsdo not have Kendrik Perkins there starting center and the main inside presence. This means Rasheed Wallace and Glenn Davis have to step up if they want to take the final home to Boston and celebrate for the eighteenth time. The NBA lead and the only team trailing them is as you can guess the Lakers. I will watch a little tonight and I expect the C's to win but If the Lakers pull it off I would not be surprised.
